Smt. Rekha Gupta is the BJP MLA of Shalimar Bagh constituency and the Chief Minister of Delhi. She holds portfolios of General Administration Services, Finance, Revenue, Women and Child Development, Land and Building, Information and Public Relations, Vigilance, Administrative Reforms and Planning. About Rekha Gupta Rekha Gupta is a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), whose life is dedicated to social service and politics. She began her political journey through the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at Daulat Ram College, Delhi University, in 1992. In 1996-97, she became the President of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU), where she actively raised student issues. Rekha Gupta is a political veteran who has risen through the party ranks and has been associated with the BJP for over three decades. In naming her the Delhi CM, not only has the BJP gone for a non-controversial politician, but a woman leader and a fresh face too. Rekha Gupta is the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi and a BJP leader since 2025. She is a lawyer, former student union president, and a three-time councillor and mayor of South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
