8. Operation Amanat : Securing and Returning Lost Property Every year, countless passengers forget their belongings on trains or platforms. Through Operation Amanat , RPF works tirelessly to recover and return these items to their rightful owners. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) retrieved luggage worth Rs 51.13 lakh for 119 passengers in May 2023 as part of Operation Amanat . The operation involved various divisions of Central Railway, including Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, and Solapur. Luggage Retrieval and hand over under Operation “Amanat ” – Many passengers forget to take all their belongings in a rush to board the train or leave the train/station. Under this operation RPF personnel help in securing such belongings and restore them to the rightful owner. About Operation Amanat Under the Operation Amanat initiative, the Railway Protection Force has taken a novel initiative to make it easier for the passengers to get back their lost luggage. It helps to track lost belongings of passengers.
