Vaadivaasal is a Tamil film, directed by Aadukalam filmmaker Vetrimaaran, starring Suriya. The film is based on CS Chellappa’s 1940 novel, and revolves around the traditional bull-taming sport Jallikattu, which is seen in rural areas of Tamil Nadu. Following Mysskin’s speech, Vetri Maaran took to the stage to give the filmmaker as well as the audience an update about the film. He said, “I am not able to reveal much about Vaadivaasal due to a couple of technical reasons. However, updates will roll in soon, in about 10 days.” Vaadivaasal, a highly anticipated film by Suriya and Vetri Maaran, is set to begin filming in June 2025.
