Training and development: Employee training and development

Employee training and development includes any activity that helps employees acquire new, or improve existing, knowledge or skills. Training is a formal process by which talent development professionals help individuals improve performance at work. Training and Development is the continuous process of improving skills, gaining knowledge, clarifying concepts and changing attitude through structured and planned education by which the productivity and performance of the employees can be enhanced. Nature: It refers to the imparting of specific skills, abilities and knowledge to an employee. Training and Development need= Standard Performance-Actual Performance Training focuses on developing the skills, which are already possessed by an employee, whereas development focuses on developing hidden qualities and talents of employees.
