Sofia Qureshi is a decorated officer of the Indian Army's Corps of Signals and the first woman to lead an Indian Army contingent in a multinational military exercise. She was part of the press briefing on Operation Sindoor, a military strike on terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoJK in response to the Pahalgam attack. A video is making rounds on social media in which Colonel Sofia Qureshi is seen alleging saffronisation of the Indian Army and claiming that Trishul exercises are nothing but a political gimmick ... Col Sofia Qureshi comes from a family with military roots - her grandfather served in the Indian Army. She is married to an officer in the Mechanised Infantry.
