Nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding you of a happier time. Whether it's an old commercial or a book from your past, it belongs in /r/nostalgia. Emojis change and are replaced often. There were plenty of posts from other people who vividly remember there being a seahorse emoji in this subreddit, and on various other websites. Interestingly, some people remember it being a different colour, but most of us remember it facing the same way. Like most other emojis, there seems to be a consensus that its head was to the left.
