Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Housing for All (Urban) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Government of India Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is a major rural housing scheme launched by the Government of India with the goal of providing “Housing for All” in rural areas. The scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet on 23 March 2015 and implemented from 1 April 2016 as a restructured version of the Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY).
