This project was planned as the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR) in 2006 and transferred to NHAI in 2016. The expressway is under Construction by J Kumar and Larsen & Toubro and will feature 20+ flyovers / bridges, 2 rail overbridges / underpasses, 11 vehicle underpasses, 20 underground pedestrian crossings, and a 2.5m wide cycle / bike path. The Dwarka Expressway, also known as the Northern Peripheral Road , stands as a monumental infrastructure project designed to drastically improve connectivity between Delhi and Gurgaon. Northern Peripheral Road or NH 248-BB, commonly known as Dwarka Expressway is a 27.6 km long, under construction, 8-lane,elevated grade separated expressway connecting Dwarka in Delhi to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza, Gurgaon in Haryana. दिल्ली-हापुड़ रोड (एनएच-9) से लोनी तक छह लेन की करीब 20 किमी नॉर्दन पेरिफेरल रोड बन रही है। इससे डासना से सीधा लोनी और पूर्वी दिल्ली को जोड़ा जाएगा। फिलहाल दूसरे चरण पर काम चल रहा है। सड़क के अलाइनमेंट को लेकर पहले भी लापरवाही हो चुकी है।.
