Noel Tata and Mehli Mistry are two power centres in the Tata Trusts, which control a majority stake in the holding company of the Tata Group. Noel Tata , son of Naval H. Tata and Simone Tata , has been named as the chairman of Tata Trusts, the philanthropic arm of the Tata Group, following Ratan Tata 's passing. With extensive experience in various Tata companies and a longstanding connection to the founding family, Noel 's leadership is seen as crucial for the Trusts and the larger Tata Group. His appointment would maintain Parsi leadership at the Trusts and ensure continuity in the governance of Tatas philanthropic initiatives. Mr Noel Naval Tata serves as Chairman, Tata Trusts and in that capacity chairs all the Trusts that comprise the Tata Trusts. Prior to this appointment, he was a Trustee on the Boards of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust.
