The Kandla International Container Terminal at DPA Kandla has achieved a historic throughput of 60,708 TEUs in October 2025, the highest-ever monthly throughput since inception. India's top port , Kandla in Gujarat, resumes operations after temporary shutdown due to heightened security concerns. Kandla Port , officially known as Deendayal Port , is a seaport in Kutch district of Gujarat, India. The port is situated in the Kandla Creek and is 90 km from the mouth of Gulf of Kutch, [1] it is one of India's major ports on the west coast. Kandla Port , a natural harbour is situated in Kandla creek and is around 90 kms from the gulf of Kutch. It is one of the dynamic port and has 11 dry cargo berths and 12th cargo berth is under development. It is also setting up a state-of-the-art container terminal with a capacity of 3.6 mmtpa.
