The New York Fed publishes the EFFR for the prior business day on the New York Fed’s website at approximately 9:00 a.m. Announcements This feed provides information about selected interest rate data from the Federal Reserve Board's H.15 release available through the Data Download Program (DDP). The federal funds rate is the interest rate at which depository institutions trade federal funds (balances held at Federal Reserve Banks) with each other overnight. When a depository institution has surplus balances in its reserve account, it lends to other banks in need of larger balances.
