Washington: An ecstatic and very relieved Deepak Pandya, father of Sunita Williams, has thanked India for all the support through Sunita’s space sojourn. Speaking to Times Now, Pandya began by enumerating some of the to-do’s on the astronaut’s itinerary after she returned home. Nasa astronaut Sunita Williams finally returned to Earth after her prolonged nine-month stay at the International Space Station. Her roots can be traced to the village of Jhulasan in Gujarat’s Mehsana, which is now celebrating her safe comeback with special prayers, yagnas and firecrackers. Williams’ father, Deepak Pandya, is of Indian origin, explaining her love for Indian food.
