Andrew McDonald , the head coach of the Australian Men's team, has been handed a contract extension till the end of 2027, Cricket Australia announced on Wednesday. The former cricketer and current head coach of the Australia men's team will lead his side in the Ashes, World Cups and more. McDonald has already won the World Test Championship and the Cricket World Cup under his tenure. Andrew McDonald is an associate professor in the Soil and Crop Science Section of the School of Integrative Plant Science. As a cropping systems ecologist, he addresses global challenges to agricultural sustainability and food security through process-based agronomy, integrated systems analysis, development of decision frameworks, and by fostering alliances for technology scaling.
