He is the son of businessman Sanjay Pahariya and Smruti Sanjay Shinde, a media entrepreneur and co-founder of Sobo Films. His parents separated in 2008 but continued to co-parent Veer and his younger brother, Shikhar Pahariya. Veer Pahariya is a grand son of Sushilkumar Shinde. He is the maternal grandson of the veteran politician, Sushilkumar Shinde, who is also the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the former Union Home Minister. Veer is also the ex-boyfriend of the actress Sara Ali Khan. Veer Pahariya, who debuted in Bollywood with Sky Force, is the son of businessman Sanjay Pahariya and Sushilkumar Shinde's daughter, Smruti Shinde.
