Atorvastatin 20 MG Tablet is a medicine for high cholesterol and triglycerides levels. It may cause side effects like muscle pain, nausea, and liver problems. It is not recommended for pregnancy, breastfeeding, or children. Atorva 20 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called statins. It is used to lower cholesterol and to reduce the risk of heart disease. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that builds up in your blood vessels and causes narrowing, which may lead to a heart attack or stroke. The recommended starting dose of atorvastatin calcium tablets is 10 mg /day; the usual dose range is 10 to 20 mg orally once daily [see Clinical Studies (14.6)]. Doses should be individualized according to the recommended goal of therapy [see Indications and Usage (1.2) and Clinical Pharmacolog y (12)]. Atorvastatin calcium tablets USP, 10 mg are white to off-white oval shaped, film-coated tablets with ‘T1’ on one side and plain on other side and free from physical defects.
