On the KTM 390 Duke , there are several small pressed-in plugs used to seal oil drill-through passages after machining. A common location for a failure is the front of the engine, near the camshaft oil supply or main oil gallery feeding the crankshaft. If I were outfitting a Duke for offroad use with the OEM cast wheels, I would fit dual sport tires with the tallest aspect ratio possible: IE, instead of the stock 150/60/17, I would seek to fit a 150/90/17, and similarly with the front. Potential 390 Duke owner here. I'm being told its a good thing to have a small displacement bike to sharpen track skills. I've sat on the Z400, Ninja 400, RC390 and the 390 Duke .
