I would re-establish the File Connection via "Open With." This should tell Windows to use Adobe Acrobat for PDF files and to remember that choice. Locate any PDF file on your desktop or in a folder. Right-click the PDF file. This will bring up the context menu. Hover over or click on "Open with." Choose "Choose another app": This is crucial. When I open a PDF File, the name of the file is usually the name that shows in the window up on the LHS of the screen. But yesterday I opened a file and the name that showed was a different one. Does anyone know why and how I can change it or why this happened? The issue that Adobe should address is to investigate why Acrobat cannot open (or save) PDF files with a path+filename length longer than, say, 256 characters — while Windows File Explorer and, most importantly, other (competing) PDF applications can. Every time I "print to PDF" from anywhere, the document automatically opens in Adobe. How do i get this to stop happenng?
